Re: For those of us with elevated Lp(a)

Thanks Desert Raven, I'll look into it. Do you have the exact link by any chance? Unfortunately, I cannot stand the Niacin flush, but perhaps I could ease into the dosage.

Well, I'm a female, so I'm sure I'm low on testosterone and that won't be helping me!

Re: For those of us with elevated Lp(a)

Hi Fidel, I enjoyed reading about your themed days of the week menus! Thank you for the examples. Your vegan lifestyle is probably a plus for you. I was using the Pauling protocol with Vitamin C, Proline and Lysine, but wasn't consistent after a while and now I'm only using the ascorbic acid. And li...

My LDL-P is a little higher than I like, so I've been trying to lower that as well. I've decreased th...

Re: Curcumin, Caffeine & CYP1A2 metabolism

I just read that the A is more common, like Julie stated, on my Promethease report, but I remember on my 23 and Me and Promethease reports it showed that I am a slow metabolizer for caffeine. Just did a quick check and a couple stood out, gs157 and rs762551.

Re: Curcumin, Caffeine & CYP1A2 metabolism

Hi KatieS. Interesting and you can count me in too. AA here and I love 2 cups of coffee in the morning. 1/2 decaf 1/2 regular to ward off the jittery effects. There is a thread on this site about the compounds in the coffee which can raise LDL that you mentioned NewRon and I believe it was determine...
