Dave Feldman interivew of Dr. Joel Kahn

Interesting interview. Very cordial discussion about cholesterol, LDL particles, HDLc and triglycerides, statins, meat eating and other topics. Dr. Kahn, a vegan cardiologist, is clearly in the LDLc is very important camp. Worth a listen. https://cholesterolcode.com/cholesterolscience-show-with-joel...

Re: Anybody interested in a lipid chat with Dave Feldman?

Marc …. thanks for your clarifications on his argument. They are helpful. And I have no doubt that lifestyle changes make a huge difference in lowering CVD risk. And congrats on your progress to good health! I also endeavor to practice the same lifestyle items you mention. I still believe that altho...

Re: Anybody interested in a lipid chat with Dave Feldman?

Julie I agree that we could benefit from more back and forth on this topic. Dave raises some very good points and has some compelling data from his own self experimentation. He has done a great deal of research in developing his energy model and I am certainly not well versed enough to effectively c...

Re: Another negative lipid profile trend

Thanks Brainz for your thoughts. I am quite familiar with Ivor Cummings, have read his book, understand his views and follow him on Twitter. And I certainly agree that hyperinsulinemia and inflammation are very important. But also believe that LDL particle concentration is also very important. I hav...

Re: Another negative lipid profile trend

Thought a good time for an update. After 3 ProLon cycles and maintaining a relatively strict diet (eliminating saturated fat; lots of vegetables; lots of fish, avocados & EVOO) as well as adding daily steel cut oats and a beta glucan supplement, also TRF (10 hour window), I have made some good p...

Re: Mammogram - how bad is the radiation?

Similar to Stavia the dose for my recent calcium score was 0.8 mSv. The machine used automatic exposure control software to minimize the radiation dose.

Re: Attia Dayspring and Feldman Podcasts

I began writing a pretty long response to both JimBG and Stavia's points above that gets a bit deeper into the topic of risk. But I'm realizing it should just be a larger blog post on the CholesterolCode website anyway now. It was just taking a bit too much time to write out given the time I meant ...

Re: Peter Attia's AMA #3: supplements, women’s health, patient care, and more

Agree that this was an enjoyable and informative podcast. One noteworthy point is that one question was "Why are you taking Zetia and Lipitor? Are you mitigating risk based upon your APOE4 ?" He noted he's not taking them now (he's taking something else which he didn't elaborate) but did t...
