Re: New finding that lentils can lower blood glucose levels

My simple question is this: could someone please help me in gathering some recipes and mealplans for us to put into practice? We were very used to eating a lot of fruit, vegetables, but also raw milk and other dairy coming straight from the local producers, rarely ate meat (but nonetheless did), eg...

Re: too many different opinions are maling me crazy

There’s the genes that provide a framework, then there are the epigenetic factors that play a HUGE role with what happens with our health. Statistics are based on history and history shows that Alzheimer’s is only a recent phenomenon, associated with modern diet/lifestyle. The ApoE4 gene has literal...

Stress

We now have a wiki write-up on stress. https://wiki.apoe4.info/wiki/Stress The wiki had addressed Diet, Exercise and Sleep, but not the 4th pillar: Stress. There is a short write-up on stress reduction in the Bredesen Protocol wiki, but Dr B doesn’t address stress with much detail, so there’s not a ...

Re: LIOTHYRONINE AND FBG

I wonder if it is Physiological Insulin Resistance, which is now being referred to as Adaptive Glucose Sparing. This occurs when glucose is "spared" for the brain, it's not really insulin resistance and it is nothing to be concerned about.

Re: Current best APOE genetic test?

The BEST? I don’t know. I had 23andMe performed a few years ago and ran that source data through Promethease https://promethease.com/ Promethease told me my ApoE4/4 status, although the SNPs were in the 23andMe data, it just took some digging to find out back then. Promethease produced a nice, no ne...

Re: Invitation to Qigong Meet-Up, Saturday Aug 4

Floramaria - I want to thank you for a wonderful "meet-up" this morning and for introducing me to Qigong, I enjoyed it.

Backwalker - we saw you joined up at the end of the session when we were just chatting, we tried to talk to you but we didn't connect. So sorry we missed you.

Re: General Anesthesia & ApoE4

Nothing has been posted in this thread for almost a year. Any new info on anesthesia out there? I am concerned because someone I know, a 70 year old female ApoE4 carrier has been recommended for Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT). I expressed my findings/concerns in this thread. Electroshock and 3/4 A...

Re: Serotonin, Depression and SSRI Antidepressants

I was going to look for the cannabinoid thread and ask the community but this may be a good place to throw it out. If you have time, which I know it's precious for you, take a gander at the cannabinoid Wiki article too. https://www.apoe4.info/wiki/Cannabinoids,_Cannabidiol_(CBD),_THC,_HEMP,_Marijua...
