I’ve previously spoken with Dr. Reiman and he’s agreed to share some of these correlations with us. This looks like a great opportunity . I could try to arrange for him to meet with our group the day before or after. FWIW, Dr. Reiman is just about to launch the biggest trial of E4 homozygotes ever conducted- 650 as I recall. He’s trialing anti-amyloid therapies before cognitive problems arise. My guess is that he would be very excited to talk with us.Dr. Eric Reiman (Banner) and Dr. Richard Casseli (Mayo) have maintained between 150-200 participants in this study for almost two decades. Many participants carry the ε4 allele. I have been told it is a homozygote rich sample group. They have collected labs, other health markers (BMI, BP, etc,) diet/exercise info, neurocognitive testing, MRIs, FDG-PET and amyloid scans, and more. Nobody has collected more data or can speak more authoritatively about our genotype. No one is in a better position to make prevention recommendations for us based upon correlations.
We could also invite Dr. Rhonda Patrick to speak with us about diet/lifestyle interventions. As a scientist, uber-focused on diet and lifestyle -grappling with the E4 allele- she’d be another excellent speaker. We could also try to arrange a teleconference with Dr. Gundry. If anyone is interested, we could also incorporate some activities involving the other E4 strategies I previously outlined- yoga, meditation, lymphatic massage, healthy meals, etc.
A two day meeting would be great, either April 14-15 or April 15-16 in Los Angeles. Before I begin working on this...let me know who may be able to attend. I'm excited!!!
