Please join us for our 2016 Meet-Up!

Post by Admin »

Our 2016 meet-up will piggyback on the Ancestral Health Symposium to be held in Boulder, CO, August 11-13th. This year the organizers plan to shine a spotlight on genetic mismatches with modern society. As carriers of the ancestral allele- APOE-ε4, we certainly represent that population.

Drs. Steven Gundry, and Dale Bredesen, both of whom have woven cohesive evolutionary perspectives about the APOE-ε4 allele into their work that is yielding positive results in ε4 carriers today, will be featured speakers. The entire AHS 2016 lineup is chockfull of presentations on brain health and other topics of interest to our community. You can register for the symposium here.

Please join us for a meet and greet dinner at Blooming Beets on Wed, 8/10, 6PM. We'll also be gathering for relaxed dinners every evening with Q & A opportunities with our guest speakers. Dr. Bredesen will be joining us on Thursday, 8/11, 6PM at Zeal. Dr. Gundry will be our featured guest on Friday, 8/12, 6PM at The Mediterranean. And, Dr. Terry Wahls (who shares our focus on mitochondria) will be joining us on Saturday, 8/13, 6PM at Fresh Thymes. You can RSVP and find more details here.

For anyone who's interested in arriving a day earlier, George has arranged an opportunity for us to receive low radiation, low cost ($195-cash) EBT scans through Front Range Preventative Imaging. Please Email Lindsay at: heartscan@comcast.net to learn more and/or to make your appointment. She has blocked out Aug 10th for our group.

We've arranged for discounted accommodations at the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn. It is within walking distance of the the University of Colorado campus, where the event will be held. A room with a king bed is $159; a room with two queen beds is $164. Call 800-233-8469 and reference discount code "APOE4" to make your reservation.
