TOMORROW is the deadline for the discounted registration. I signed my husband & I up over the weekend. We're staying at the Wyndham and plan on attending the "After-Party." There are still rooms available that can be cancelled with 72 hours notice should your plans change. Can't wait to see my E4 friends!

Juliegee echoing gratefulness for your attention for organizing the meet up at the LowCarb conference. My sister and I will be attending both of us 3/4's . I would vote for a private dinner with speaker for our APOE4 group. I'm staying with family and not sure how many of the dinner's I will be making. Plus kind of pricey IMHO(in my humble opinion). Regarding speakers, I would leave that up to you and your expertise. I will plan to stay after on Monday and do the after party with our group. Very excited to meet all of you.
I am also registered for the Dynamic Brain Conference.

Waves All! I'm beginning to work on putting together our ApoE4 specific speakers for our meet-up and I wondered if there was any interest in getting a CIRS expert to meet with us? Given Dr. Bredesen's recent work indicating that this is a much bigger AD contributor than previously thought, would it make sense to bring in a specialist that can talk with us about how to identify, test, and treat the toxic aspect? Please share your thoughts.

Since I know so little about CIRS, sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn about this important subject.

Hey Julie, this is late in the game but there seemed to be quite an interest in Dr. Rahul Disikan's work on Polygenic Hazard Score (see "Polygenic" thread under Science topics).

J11 and I worked hard trying to find a way to source the 31 snps but came up short. I think with the current climate there will sooner rather than later be a genetic tool available for use with this and Dr. D mentioned they were working on getting this available to the public. I wonder if he or one of his colleagues (Chun Chieh Fan) might be interested in speaking?

Dr. Desikan was very responsive to my emails: Rahul.Desikan@ucsf.edu

LG1, I'm so happy that you'll be at both the Dynamic Brain Conference and this one??? I'm really looking forward to spending time with you. Yes, I've been following the Polygenic thread closely and I'm blown away by all you're doing. I have to admit, this isn't a special interest of mine, but maybe it should be. I'm very open to learning more and inviting Dr. Desikan if we have enough interest.

This is a actually a perfect time for us to be discussing our speakers! We've structured the event so that we'll have one dinner for just our ApoE4 community. We might be able to squeeze two speakers in that time slot. I really like the idea of bringing in a CIRS expert as this appears to be a very big emerging cause of AD. Given our genetic vulnerabilities, I was hoping folks would be open to learning more, but only Theresa has weighed in so far. I obviously want to fly in speakers who have a broad appeal.

I like the idea of having both Dr. Desikan and a CIRS expert both speak to us. I need to hear from more attendees to ensure that we're appealing to their interests. Also, I really want DaveKeto if possible. I'm hoping to twist the organizer's arm and somehow get him on the roster as a general presenter. My guess is that he'll have a very broad appeal for this group. Given that he's an E4 and a hyper-responer of dietary fat, I'd love to include him in a private meeting with us somehow (a lunch?) to pick his brain more on the topic. he has an amazing section on his website on this topic. It's one of the best I've seen.

If you're planning on attending, please weigh in on this topic. We want to bring in speakers that are specifically addressing our unique needs and have a broad appeal.
