E-Scape Bio event, late June, San Francisco

Post by Brian4 »

Hi everyone,

For anyone who might be, or could be in the S.F. Bay Area in late June, I'd recommend going to the event with the CEO of E-Scape Bio:

E-Scape Bio is working on what I believe is the most promising medium-term solution to the dangers of apoE4: small molecule correctors.

Good to know! I need to schedule a trip to CA to see my FMP. This might be a good "two-fer." A bunch of us had the honor of meeting and listening to a presentation that Leon gave us at Gladstone during our meeting with Dr. Mahley & Huang. I agree the work is promising... but moving much slower than expected.

If either of you attend, would love to hear what you learn from the briefing. Based on the 7/17 press release, they raised 63M in private funding, but appears some of those funds will support Parkinson's research as well. I donated blood last May and have been wondering where things stood.

Just curious if this event happened, and if so, what was presented.

From reading the tea leaves it seems like E-Scape are going to clinical trials with an S1P5 receptor agonist early next year, but that the APOE4 structure corrector isn't getting there before 2020 at the earliest.

Thanks for the update. I guess we'll need to be patient.
