I thought the center was in LA according to his byline in the email?

circ - I don't know. I know the main office is in Novato, CA - that's the Bay area.

ROFL *note to self: Asia does not suffer blood-letting kindly*

Pffffttt - if I had good friends there, I'd stay with them. I mean, would I love to have you stay in my same hotel? Of course. But you should be with your longstanding buds. I have a couple of friends there, but, well...um...I really into nice hotels.

Probably freakishly so.

Circular - maybe Novato is just the mailing address???

Huh. Well, LA it is, then. Asia - you got friends there? ;)

Interesting, this video says this work has been heavily criticized by other AD researchers who say it isn't scientific enough, not that I agree! http://s3.amazonaws.com/TVEyesMediaCent ... .25.36.mp4

No LA brethren...... but I'm with you, hotels for me are magical. California is California. I'm there. I'm sure we'll make due.

Thank god it's not in Idaho or Nebraska.....no offense to anyone who lives there.

The contact pages says:
The Buck Institute is located 25 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
San Fran it is.

It is confusing but I still say it's LA. The Buck Inst appears to be about aging generally. I think that's a different gig of his. Look above that mention at the bottom of his email to JG and you'll see the affiliation with a center for AD research at UCLA which is where I think they're doing this research. I'll be happy with either :-)

Hi, In my previous post today, I forgot to mention that my mother died at age 83 (3 years ago next week) of late stage AD. I look forward to having the opportunity of participating in this Trial study. The research sounds so promising, such excitement for all of us carriers.

Likewise LillyBritches! Wouldn't it be fun for us to all gather in Californ-i-a??? I'll take BA or LA. Have friends and family both places :-) Not to worry about not replying, but I do the same thing! Just can't do it all.
