Iirc, mitochondrial function restoration was only measured in culture. I'm guessing the researchers are aware of a shortfall when it comes to correcting apoe4 inside neurons, or they wouldn't be concerned with a separate process to restore mito function, right?

Bob Mahley is my hero. After I leaned my Apoe4 status I found the Gladstone group and reached out to him, NEVER thinking he'd respond to my email. My best hope - someone on his staff. But he did. In addition to being the brilliant researcher and leader in his field that we all know him to be, he is so compassionate.

I am fascinated by his work with the structure corrector and feel that for those of us who are 4/4, it may be the best way forward. An elegant solution. He gives me hope.

We met him earlier this year. Such a kind, humble man. Totally gorgeous.

Lucy, he's my hero, too. ApropoE4: we need to get the paper and refresh our memories!
