I've been trying trazodone for my heretofore treatment-resistant insomnia. I decided to read up on it a bit more, and discovered that it actually can reduce neuroinflammation. A very pleasant surprise. This might explain some of the positive effects on dementia-prevention noted somewhere in this forum recently.
I did some more googling and came upon this article:

Naltrexone (low dose) and trazodone reduce neuroinflammation by separate mechanisms. We'd want more testing, perhaps, but has anyone looked into using them in combo? The above article is focused on people with CFS, but I'm sure most here know about the importance of reducing brain inflammation to limit risk of dementia.
