What's also interesting in that study is that they're looking at a one-meal-a-day (OMAD) feeding window, rather than say 16:8 or 14:10 or whatnot. The authors write that "the restriction to 3-h period for animals would be equivalent to one meal a day for humans." Apparently rats as nocturnal animals like to eat their breakfast at the onset of darkness around 7-10pm, which would correspond to eating breakfast, then skipping lunch and dinner until the following day.
