From the Wikipedia listing on The Daily Mail, a popular English tabloid:
"The Daily Mail has been widely criticized for its unreliability, as well as printing of sensationalist and inaccurate scare stories of science and medical research"
So, we take it with a grain of salt. No, wait, that's also bad for you!

It was in the other newspapers as well, just happened to link to Daily mail but know it isn't the best newspaper!

Here's a link to more specifics on the cohort and methodology for those interested from a site called Neurology Advisor. FYI, they have a continuing summary of updates from the AAIC conference, which I'll post on Science and Research. It's notable that the highest tertile of soda drinkers was those having one can of regular soda every other day; the lowest was those having one can approximately every 150 days. I've seen way too many kids who struggled in school chugging Mountain Dew like coffee to stay awake. Maybe we should just put free coffee makers in every high school that refuses to re-set their time schedule to allow kids to sleep in past 6:00 AM.
