Further caution on the use of routine anticholinergics.

Caution: As little as "3 years’ daily use of a single strong anticholinergic medication at the minimum effective dose recommended for older people" may increase the risk of dementia by nearly 50%. Researchers "indicate that around 10% of dementia diagnoses are attributable to anticholinergic drug exposure".


Think once, twice, no three times, before prescribing or taking these medications for marginal indications.
