I believe this. My husband is a 2/3 and generally lives like most of us. His last hbA1c was 5.6 :shock: vs. my 4.7. Sigh.

There are downsides associated with all forms of APOE.

A recent study indicated that APOE 2/4 people may not really benefit from much Alzheimer's protection, as APOE4 much more strongly overrides the benefits of APOE2 than it overrides APOE3. I'll have to dig up the study.

I read in a recent article, I think that it was pub med, that apoe2 is also associated with an increased risk of neck fractures.
