Greetings. I'm an intern member of the support team. Both my maternal grandmother (passed around 24 years ago) and my mother (passed 7 years ago) had Alzheimer's Disease. I have been following Functional Medicine and Alzheimer's research and am excited about the positive impact of diet and lifestyle on this disease. I changed my diet 4 1/2 years ago to reduce systemic inflammation and feel unbelievably great. I became a Certified Fermentationist last year with Summer Boch and currently host a Meetup group in my area to teach people how to make their own traditionally fermented krauts, pickles, kefir's, etc. I'm looking forward to being an advocate in this powerful community. Thank you for the opportunity.

Carie,
How nice to have your 4 1/2 year example of what diet can do to reduce systemic inflamation. I am very interested in learning about making fermented foods. I'm so glad you are with us. What an honor for your mother and grandmother to have you working in the field of functional medicine. I'm sure they would be very proud of you.

Welcome, CarrieS! We're delighted to have you and all of our FMCA interns. I had no idea you were a Certified Fermentationist. I really want to learn how to make kefir, both dairy (with A2 milk) and coconut milk. I'd love any tips you can share.
