FWIW, I completely agree with Stavia's assessment of Dr. Ross. She is one of few specialists trained to treat CIRS/Type-3 Alzheimer's. For those who are unfamiliar, you can learn more in this
thread. Dr. Ross may be bringing on other, more frontline, Bredesen trained practitioners to her LA office, hence the recommendation from MPI Cognition. Let me check and report back. Diane, I also reached out to them on your behalf and got the same response you did. I know they're working hard behind the scenes to get their business up and running. I also understand the frustration and desperation that so many are experiencing. Many of us are following the advice in the
Primer and simply working with any helpful physicians to track and tweak biomarkers and follow strategies outlined
here. Additionally, depending on where you live, you may be able to order many of the tests recommended by Dr. Bredesen yourself via online laboratory testing.
(((Anab,))) I wish we all had time to individually guide members. Those of us running the site are volunteers who are passionate about our cause. We created this site so that no carrier of our gene would ever feel alone on this journey. We began as a small, friendly, quirky, citizen scientist site devoted to examining ApoE4 science and determining which strategies might be helpful to both prevent and improve cognition and heart disease. You can read "Our Story"
here. Over time, our mission has expanded as our membership has grown We're getting more and more folks, who are afraid and just want to know what to do, the bottom-line. We get it; hence Stavia's creation of the Primer, a step-by-step action plan, our formation of a Support Team (their names highlight in blue), and our most recent collaboration with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA) to enlist their senior students as additional Support Team staff on the site. These folks can offer individualized help and coaching, based upon the advice in the Primer. Several have also attended Dr. Bredsen's training and all have a personalized interest in ApoE4. All of our staff are volunteers. Many of us have donated thousands of dollars to keep this free resource available for you.
Donations and offers of assistance are very welcome. We have many projects that need contributors. If you have some spare time and share our passion, feel free to raise your hand here or contact me privately at:
