Re: Searching for Practitioner
Hi Farmgirl,
Welcome to the community! I'm a farmgirl too! While I don't have any personal recommendations for a Bredesen Protocol practitioner in the Midwest, my suggestion is that you go to the Wiki either using this link or accessing from top of page. You can find a list of ApoE4 aware practitioners there. Some of them are in the Midwest. The Wiki is also has a section on getting the most out of this website, with helpful tips including how to find information you are interested in, and how to reply to specific posts.
Have you had a chance to read through the Primer? If not, that is an excellent place to begin familiarizing yourself with the website. Written by a physician member, it provides an overview of potential impacts of the ApoE4 allele on health and what you can do to minimize any risk.
If you feel like telling us more about yourself and what brings you here, you can introduce yourself in Our Stories if you'd like. Again, I want to extend a warm welcome to you.
You will find a supportive and well-informed community here ready to help you and eager for your contribution.
We are all learning from each other.

There is a wiki entry that has suggestions on how to find practitioners, including Bredesen trained MDs. You can find it here. Many Bredesen practitioners provide telemedicine, which makes it easier to find experienced help remotely.

I want to add my welcome to the APOE community Farmgirl. I see that both floramaria and slacker have already make some useful suggestions and given you some pointers. I hope you find a Bredesen practitioner that you can work with. As Slacker mentioned above, many of these practitioners are now connecting virtually which makes finding practitioners much easier. There are also a number of health coaches listed on our site that are trained in the Bredesen protocol. I look forward to future posts from you and welcome you once again.
