You're welcome :) No, it is not an easy journey. But most days, I'm glad to know my status. It took me a while to get to that point.
It also took time to be able to research AD prevention without triggering major anxiety or sense of doom.

Thanks for the link to the new study in which anticholinergics were NOT associated with cognitive decline in a three-year study with a large cohort. I'm sure this will be an ongoing debate, like saturated animal fat. But I feel a little less worried by all the antihistamines and I have taken in the past.

Congrats too on improved sleep! Lately, I usually sleep soundly for 6 or so consecutive hours -- so much better than piecing the hours together while tossing or turning or sometimes not totaling more than 5. I celebrate when I hit 7 hours (especially consecutive). The PharmaGaba seems to help somewhat (nothing earth-shattering) if stress/anxiety is what's keeping me from falling asleep. The CBD seems to affect how deeply I sleep.

Yes, it was my goal too: get two 7 hr sleeps in a row. I lowered the threshold by 30 min after I read a study by FitBit, https://blog.fitbit.com/sleep-study/ , the takeaway is that for women age > 55 average sleep time is around 6.5 hours. Theses numbers are based on billions of data points. The other interesting study is https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/30/you-mig ... think.html.

What kind of CBD are you using? I want to try, heard a few good stories about it.

Very interesting! This suggests that at almost 55, my current sleep patterns are totally fine, although I should probably confirm with a Fitbit. I recall reading somewhere that people tend to underestimate how much sleep they really get.

I'm using CBDPure (https://www.cbdpure.com/) and like it for both sleep and fibromyalgia pain, but I have no comparison. Also the market has grown a lot, even since I started taking it last summer, so I'm wondering if there might be more cost-effective options. CBDPure is more cost effective if you buy multiple bottles and choose the 600mg version. I chose this one because it posts 3rd party lab tests online, has great reviews, is organic, has a money-back guarantee, is full spectrum, and does not contain THC. I use drops, not capsules, so I can control the dose.

Hi -- I suffered from insomnia for about 15 years, and finally cured it through Chinese Medicine, including both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Specifically, my doctor had me do about 2 months of acupuncture before adding the herbs into the mix. Once I was on the herbs, I never looked back...slept the deep child-like sleep we all crave. Hope that helps.
