Ischemic lack of oxygen to brain / other parts in body

Post by SherylT »

Hi
Does anyone have problems with ischemic brain, heart, eyes, other organs? What are they doing to help that?

One thought is breathing. Because of the Bohr Effect, hemoglobin binds more tightly to O2 when people overbreathe (more alkaline serum pH). Nasal breathing, training to increase CO2 tolerance, cadence breathing (around 5-6 breaths a minute) and correct breathing mechanics can help. More details in the breathing part of my post here and in this document.
