As I just finished writing down your suggestions, Orangblossom, I saw the book, Still Alice.
When that came out I would not read it, because I was sure I was going down that road and I didn't want to know about it or dwell on it. Then after being on Dr. Bredesen's program for less than a year I did read it. Perhaps I am being naive but I believe as long as I keep up the program I have nothing to worry about.

I’ve been debating buying Fung’s fasting book for a couple of days. Thanks for the recommendation—I finally pulled the trigger and bought it.TheresaB wrote:Besides The End of Alzheimer's by Dr Dale Bredesen https://www.amazon.com/End-Alzheimers-P ... e+bredesen

Re: Books and reading
I understand what you mean Maureen about being unsure about reading these books such as Still Alice. I happened to read the others before learning of APOE4.
Jason Fung also has a good guide to fasting on the diet doctor site, i'll see if I can find a link. In case people can't get the book. https://www.dietdoctor.com/intermittent-fasting

I also loved All the Light We Cannot See!
Also recently enjoyed books by Colum McCann (Transatlantic, 13 ways of looking, Let the Great World Spin)
And Nutshell by Ian McEwan.
I read before bed so love fictiion! Non-fiction AD related books make me ruminate at 2 am

Yes I feel the same about AD books. Fiction is good for escaping.

I really enjoyed the AudioBook for "You Are A Badass At Making Money" (Jen Sincero), next on my list is Tribe Of Mentors (Tim Ferris).Orangeblossom wrote:What have you read and liked? Either general reading for pleasure or related books?

Sounds good!
Re: Books and reading
Thank you all for wonderful recommendations!
I would like to add my suggestions to the list.
There are a few books I have bought but have had a chance to read yet. (I rather own them, and read it later then forget about them).
One of them is "The Alzheimer's Antidote" by Amy Berger. I bought it after listening to the author's interview. It seemed interesting, inspiring and worth of buying. Has anyone read this book?
I also like:
"Head Strong" by David Asprey
"Fat for Fuel" by Dr. J. Mercola
and let's do not forget about Datis Kharrazian's book: " Why is not my brain working?"

Yes, I like that book as well, (Amy Berger) I think I asked about whether to get it or not. But I'm glad I did.
