I'm pretty sure there will be another major study in the next couple of years stating that eggs are awesome and you should eat lots of them.

Are we being cynical!? :P I personally eat 4 a day, but I don't follow the normal diet here...

You might find this relatively detailed response to the egg study interesting: https://lesslikely.com/nutrition/eggs-cholesterol/

Or somewhat more sarcastically: IS IT TIME TO STOP EATING DEADLY EGGS OR TIME TO STOP PUTTING NUTRITIONAL EPIDEMIOLOGY IN THE HEADLINES?

Well, that didn't take too long.

Science Daily: Dietary cholesterol or egg consumption do not increase the risk of stroke, Finnish study finds
A new study from the University of Eastern Finland shows that a moderately high intake of dietary cholesterol or consumption of up to one egg per day is not associated with an elevated risk of stroke. Furthermore, no association was found in carriers of the APOE4 phenotype, which affects cholesterol metabolism and is remarkably common among the Finnish population. The findings were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
...
In the highest control group, the study participants had an average daily dietary cholesterol intake of 520 mg and they consumed an average of one egg per day, which means that the findings cannot be generalised beyond these levels.
The paywalled study itself is at https://doi.org/10.1093/ajcn/nqz066 (I didn't read it, so no opinions.)
