I'm a relative newbie but have been doing lots of research and have found this forum extremely helpful.
I'm a 57 year old very healthy female who exercises a great deal with no other risk factors other than being a 3/4. Read Dr, Isaacson's Prevention Diet book and wanted to get into his prevention clinic but they aren't taking new patients. Looking to find out my homocysteine levels as well as my DHA EPA vitamins D, B6 B12 and folic acid (B9) levels as I understand recommendations are based on individual levels. What is everyone's thoughts on taking any supplements and if you take how much. Do you know what the levels mean?
Thanks

Thoughts on using this? Capsules or powder?
What about Tumeric

Last question. What are everyone's thoughts on this? I would only consider the 12/12 or possibly the 16/8 and wouldn't be able to do it every day.

I believe Richard Isaacson specifically recommends products based on the proprietary Theracurmin formulation, based on this paper:
Memory and Brain Amyloid and Tau Effects of a Bioavailable Form of Curcumin in Non-Demented Adults. 10.1016/j.jagp.2017.10.010

Paper available here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 8117305110

If I remember correctly from Isaacson's interview with Peter Attia, he said that Theracurmin requires 18 months to show an effect.

I happen to use the 180mg / day recommendation, but I would say it's totally faith-based medicine.

Perhaps others on the forum can suggest real observed benefits, complications or concerns about drug/supplement interactions.
