I’m inclined to keep it simple for a first meeting. Perhaps coffee/tea at 10, those who want to stay later can do lunch?

Here is a link to the"atmosphere" section of Google photos for the Good Earth in southern Marin, seems like it could work for something like that. The other places mentioned would be hard for my carb restrictions...

It all sounds great to me. Please keep me posted as to the final decision.

My main interest is in meeting our members, so wherever we eat or wherever we meet is not so important for me for our first meeting. My goal for the first meeting would be to get the maximum number of our group able to attend by making the location convenient and a date when they could attend. We could see who shows up and what their interests are for future get togethers.

Unless I hear otherwise in the next day or so, I'm going to go with the assumption that we'll be meeting at the Good Earth market near MillValley on a weekend morning around 10 am. I will be sending out date/time to vote on. Again, unless I hear other wise, this will be just a meet up of like minded folks. No agenda.

I've always wanted to go to Safari West, but that might be a larger time/money commitment than some were planning on. (But Rhinoceri! Giraffes!)

I'd prefer a daytime time slot. Agree it would be good to find something quiet so we can hear everyone. Probably any quiet restaurant or cafe will do. Not sure a grocery store is quiet enough.

Oops. Mike posted while I was typing. Yay for a decision. 10 am. in Mill Valley sounds good to me.

(I guess the giraffes can wait for another time. :-) .

The Good Earth market looks like an excellent choice from the photos. 10 AM on a weekend morning is also good.

Congratulations for getting this started Mike. I suspect there might be many others in SF/Oakland area that will show interest if you are successful. Marin is a little outside my zone so I hope I can ride with you.

Sure, though I carry more canine passengers these days, so I hope there are no allergies...
