A Chicago Culinary Meet up?

Post by Julie G »

Is anybody interested in a culinary meet up? Our very talented JML, a food scientist, works for a culinary innovation company in Lincoln Park (north of Chicago) that has offered to host a brain healthy cooking demonstration to teach us a some new tricks. Let us know if you're interested. We're thinking sometime this autumn. October and the first part of November are wide open... (Dates that won't work include: 9/12-22 and 11/19-21 in case I do the NY conference.

I'm looking forward to meeting others in the Chicago/Midwest area. If you are interested in joining the meet up, let us know if there are types of foods that you'd like to focus on.

Hi ladies! I would be interested in a meet up as well. I haven't thought of particular foods to concentrate on ...yet.

Would love to attend, but I am just swamped with work and a side landscaping job which is occupying my weekends. Please post recipes and such!

This is looking promising. :D How many do we need to plan a gathering, JML? Any other takers?

We can gather with any number!
Here are some possible dates: September 28, 29, October 12, 26, 27 (Chicago has their Walk to End Alzheimer's on Oct. 26). Do any of these work for people?

We have four possible dates:
Saturday Oct. 26
Sunday Oct. 27
Saturday Nov. 9
Sunday Nov. 10
Let us know which dates work (or don't work) for you.

Any other Chicago area/Midwest people interested in joining us for a meet-up?

I can currently make any of these dates work. :D

Lets start thinking about WHAT we'd like to learn to cook. JML and I were brainstorming today and I suggested a variety of sauces or dips. We can all cut and cook our veggies (and animal proteins for omnivores) but we all want new ways to keep them fun. We're wide open to other ideas... This is a great opportunity!

Hello,
I would be interesting in attending a Chicago Culinary Meet up, if it hasn't happened yet.

Thanks,
