I'm interested in this, too. I have a copy and have just begun reading it. I'm in the Eastern Time zone. Evenings are best for me, or anytime on Thursdays or weekends. Great idea JML! Thanks, Victoria

This date works for me. JML, how do you feel about opening this up to a broader audience? We could advertise on our Facebook page to reach more people. We could also invite Dr. Bredesen and advertise on his channels... Let me know if folks prefer a more intimate group or a larger group. Looking forward to it!

Victoria--would love to have you join us! It will be Saturday September 26 at 3:30 pm CT. I will set up a zoom video call. (Please PM me your email address so I can send out a link. To do that--click on the envelope icon in the upper right corner next to your name and photo.)

Julie G--Inviting Dr. Bredesen would be awesome! (And having you there will be awesome too!)

I hate to have the group get too big, or it will be hard for everyone to share and ask questions. (My regular book club went virtual in March and my experience is that discussions are easier with only one "screen-ful" of faces!) That being said, I'd be happy to set up another session and advertise on his channels. We might have to split people into breakout rooms if it gets too big (I need to make sure the ApoE4.info Zoom account will do breakout rooms?)

Anyone else have any thoughts on size of group?

I love the intimacy of a smaller group as well. As far as inviting Dr. Bredesen, my guess is that he'd prefer a larger group, but I could always suggest that he host his own larger book club if he likes the idea. As I recall, our Zoom accounts allows for breakout rooms if we ever decide we need them.

Julie, maybe the group could do one (or several in parallel) smaller discussion groups and collect questions and comments. Then perhaps you could arrange a larger meeting, advertised to many, with Dr. Bredesen which focuses more on questions and concerns raised by the book. (But necessarily somewhat less interactive if in fact there are lots of attendees.)

Brian R, I like this idea. FWIW, I mentioned this to my other co-author, Dr. Aida Lasheen Bredesen, and she offered to join in the smaller groups, but only if our presence wouldn't stilt conversation. We want to make sure folks feel free to question and criticize the book. We do. :D
