This is why I take a bajillion fairly-well-researched-and-hopefully-neurodegenerative-preventative daily supplements:

Stavia, dearling: could you access this PDF on Wiley? I don't feel like plopping down 38 bucks in order to save the confounded thing, but I think we need to know exactly WHAT is in this mystery mouse mixture.

No worries, sweetheart! Thanks for letting me know.
God, it's such a racket. Sigh. Mebbe I'll do my annoying thing of bugging all the researchers via email. (((Stavia)))

Oh, DERP. I'll rent that sucker for $6 and screenshoot it all. Up yours, Wiley, and shame on you for forcing us to download bloody ReadCube.
Of course I'll share with the class when I obtain.

Waves, Lilly! Dr. Rhonda Patrick talks a little bit about the study on her Facebook page found here. She even provides the recipe for the "fountain of youth" formula- bear in mind the dosages are for mice

Hi Everybody,
Just joined today, but I figured I would post what I found through some creative googling of the mystery dietary supplement from McMaster University:
vitamins B1, C, D, E, acetylsalicylic acid, beta carotene, folic acid, garlic, ginger root, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, green tea extract, magnesium, melatonin, potassium, cod liver oil, and flax seed oil
Of course there are no dosages, but at least this gives an overview of the ingredients.
Namaste,
TH

I want my supplements to work on a bagel too!
ApoE 3/4 > Thanks in advance for any responses made to my posts.

Thanks TreeHugger and welcome.
It's a Bredesen protocol for mousies!!!
Probably not extrapolate-able to humans as a one-to-one method, but interesting that it ties to Bredesens multipronged protocol.
Also interesting that it includes omega 3s, D, folic acid (where's the B12, mebbe mousies don't need it) and melatonin all of which many of us take.
I'd personally not be rushing to add aspirin or E to my stack on the basis of this study.

Check Rhonda Patrick's recipe (link above) on her Facebook page, Stavia. The mousie's took B-12, B-6, and folic acid to reduce homocysteine as well as B-1 to optimize glucose metabolism. Their supplement list looks a lot like mine. LOL, my thoughts exactly, Circ. I want mine on a bagel too . Welcome TH!

Ah yes sorry didn't follow the link. It's very similar to ours!
