Hey Stavia - Holy Crap! Really?

I wish I had a baseline number to offer the group, but I don't. I do think the Amen supplements are helping me. For instance, at work I am more fluid and am able to move through numerical information, remembering numbers and data more readily.

For the record, my diet is pretty whole-food intense, except for a low glycemic organic whey protein that I add to a daily wheatgrass, spinach and berry smoothie. I also lace the smoothie with a teaspoon or so of MCT oil. I avoid dairy and meat, getting most of my calories from seeds, nuts, nut butters and eggs. I also avoid wheat except when I cave to something my very accomplished pastry chef daughter has cruelly left on the kitchen counter.

Since finding out I am 4/4, and having watched my father struggle and eventually pass from AD, I have decided that I am not going to succumb to this disease. I refuse to live my life however I want and hope for a "pill" to cure me. I don't post much, but I read (and re-read!) here often.

I don't think I would be doing as well as I am were it not for you (Juliegee, SusanJ and Stavia to name a few). Thank you for your generous sharing of information. - Jen

This is my first real victory since I looked at the 23andme results. Thanks for the kudos.

Stavia - I get the protein from a friend who is a chiropractor. I do not believe you can buy it online, but here's a link to the company's website: http://www.solutions4.com/products/inte ... nal-shake/

Best - Jen

What's the source of the protein? What's its composition? Maybe its really low in methionine.

Do a happy dance Jen!!!

Hey Stavia - FWIW, here's a couple images of the packaging. Can you explain the methionine comment as I see it as one of the aminos listed on the packaging.

Cos methionine is converted into homocysteine. And yours is beautifully low
