Docu Series: The Healing Miracle: The Truth About Stem Cell Therapy

Post by TheBrain »

I’ve been watching this free series on stem cell therapy. I wasn’t sure if it would apply to us, but I believe it does/could.

https://www.stemcelldocuseries.com/optin/

Episode 5 discusses a means of getting stem cells into the brain through the spinal fluid. This episode includes an interview of a clinician who is beginning to use stem cell therapy on Alzheimer’s patients. Some patients are reporting improvements in memory, but when the interview was taped, it was too soon to say much about efficacy. But the patient stories throughout the series about healing or improving chronic pain, MS, and other conditions are astonishing.

Today, the series is on Episode 6 of 9, though Episode 1 is still available. I figure there will probably be a replay weekend (maybe this coming weekend). I’m probably going to purchase the $79 silver package.

Part of the package is a PDF of all the research they’ve gathered. An email I saw today (from last week) offered to send me one free chapter from it. I just picked the one on Dementia and Alzheimer’s. I’m looking forward to checking it out.

My apologies for not bringing this series to your attention sooner.

Edit: Let me add that the "clinician" I mention above who's interviewed in Episode 5 is much more than that. She's Dr. Kristin Comella, the Chief Science Officer of US Stem Cell, a pioneering stem cell company blazing the trail in stem cell therapy.

FYI, I had Lyme disease, now recovered and did stem cells IV bolus last year and my brain is perfect now-back to what I remember (I'm 62). I'm 3/4, demented parents/ I will likely do stem cells each decade as I age- next time will bank them.

First of all, welcome aboard! And congratulations on your recovery from Lyme disease using IV stem cell therapy! Of course, I'm very sorry to hear that both of your parents have (or had?) dementia. Your recovery from Lyme disease has certainly eliminated that toxic risk for you. As you might already know, Lyme disease is one of the causes of Type 3 Alzheimer's, the toxic form of the disease that Dale Bredesen, MD, has identified. My understanding is that mold toxicity is the most common cause of Type 3 Alzheimer's.

I've watched the first seven episodes of this docu series (except I missed Episode 2), and success with treating Lyme disease using stem cells has been mentioned only in passing. Of the many success stories shared thus far, I've not heard one about Lyme disease. So I'm especially delighted to hear from you. We have forum members who are currently struggling with Lyme disease.

Would you mind sharing more of your Lyme disease journey? What type of symptoms were you experiencing that have since resolved? And did you use your own stem cells (such as from your adipose tissue or bone marrow, which is what I'm gathering, based on what you wrote) or another source (such as from umbilical cord blood or amniotic material)? Whatever you're willing to share, I'd love to hear about it.

I'm under treatment for mold toxicity. In November 2017, I was found to have extraordinarily high levels of two mycotoxins. An MRI with NeuroQuant in January 2018 showed that I have atrophy of my cerebral white matter and some other areas, including some of my temporal lobe structures. I suspect mycotoxin damage is the main culprit. I'm very curious if stem cell therapy might help me heal my brain.

That's why I started watching this series, but based on what I'm learning, I understand why you want to bank your own stem cells for future use. I'm with you. I'd like to do the same thing. I'm awed by the possibilities of this therapy. As has been stated multiple times in various episodes, the advent of stem cell therapy will be as big as the advent of antibiotics. The word needs to get out there so people learn about it and start demanding it. That will bring down costs and make it more available to patients.

I wanted to mention some information I learned in Episode 7 of this docu series. The interviewee was Mark Berman, MD, who is a past president of the Association of Plastic Surgeons and has a practice in Beverly Hills. He has become a stem cell expert and has developed a network of doctors with various specialties who have also become stem cell experts within their area of expertise. One of those specialists is a neurosurgeon in Newport Beach.

I'm unsure of the spelling of the neurosurgeon's name and will see if I can find it, but it sounded like Chris Duma. This doctor does a procedure in which he injects stem cells directly into the ventricle of the brain and thus into the cerebral spinal fluid. He works with MS patients as well as Alzheimer's patients. Dr. Berman reported that one of this doctor's Alzheimer's patients had a hippocampal volume in the 5th percentile. After 8 treatments over 2 years, the patient's hippocampal volume increased to 48%, which is now considered normal for his age. So this neurosurgeon is using MRI volumetrics, but I don't know whether it's NeuroQuant or Neuroreader.

In any case, I thought this was great news. I don't know if the patient made any lifestyle changes. This wasn't mentioned, and I suspect not.
