Clear Spirits, why does Dr Gundry not include them in his diet?

Post by ellisto »

Sorry , I asked the wrong question, he does include dark spirits not clear ones, so I want to know why he favors dark spirits.

I realize this may be in his books, but in order to save time reading them, does any of our members know his reasoning?

Thanks,

As a patient, from the list we were given in 2017 (and I haven't looked at the books to cross reference), he allows 1oz spirits/day.

Thanks,

I was just curious why he favored dark spirits over clear ones.

In this short video, he answers your question - polyphenols in aged spirits.

Just a note. There's really not a lot of (poly)phenols in dark spirits, compared to say fruits and veggies, coffee or tea. You'd have to drink a whole lot of dark rum.
