Type 3 Alzheimer's disease

Post by CathyS »

Let's talk about Type 3 Alzheimer's disease.

Looks like no one has talked about Boyd Hayley, PhD on the forum in a while. In this video (from 2011) he talked about Urinary Porphyrn Profile as well as Alzheimer's disease. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUcggKW ... Bp1Vs0RVok

Doctor's Data now has a Urinary Porphyrn Profile test for mercury toxicity. High urinary porphyrins are associated with Hg body-burden, specifically pentacarboxyporphyrin, precoproporphyrin, and coproporphyrin high levels indicate Hg (mercury) body burden.

My Doctor's Data Hair Analysis came back with very little mercury, which indicates that I don't excrete mercury in my hair. This completely contradicts the Urine Mercury test that showed a high creatinine concentration of 29 mg Hg/dL creatinine. A biochemist converted this value for me to nmol Hg/mmol creatinine and it is 14,457 nmol Hg/mmol Creatinine. At https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4724159/
"the normal mercury concentration range to be 4.6 μg/L and 4.0 nmol Hg per mmol creatinine and below, for blood mercury and urine mercury, respectively, which are the 95th percentile in normal adults." So the 14,457 nmol Hg/mmol Creatinine is extreme compared to the norm of 4.0.

At this point I am looking forward to the completion of the Phase 2 Study of NBMI Treatment in Patients With Mercury Toxicity https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04183595. His product NBMI aka EmeraMed looks very promising for those of us with chronic mercury toxicity.

L-selenomethionine is a safe and effective way to remove mercury from the body. It has been demonstrated that targeted detox of humans being chronically exposed to mercury is possible by taking 100mcg of selenomethionine daily for twelve weeks. The group being supplemented with selenomethionine had significantly enhanced urinary excretion of mercury (link to this study posted below). In those with mercury induced selenium deficiency it may take on average 2 - 4 weeks to first restore the body’s selenium reserves before enhanced mercury excretion is observed.

Here is an evidenced based write up which includes the study mentioned above as well as other studies. The write up was done by a chemist who has been studying toxins in the environment for 50 years.
