Does my 4 pass to my children (I'm 4/4)

Post by Penman Pete »

Hi,
New to the board. Have wondered since finding out I am 4/4, does that mean my daughters automatically have at least one 4 in their apoE? Or does it sometimes skip generations? Thanks for all the info!

Hi, Penman - welcome!

Yes, your daughters inherited one ϵ4 allele from you. Do you know their mother's APOE genotype?
