Post by Jan »

Our own Julie will be on Dr. Oz tomorrow. Oh, and Dr. Bredesen also. :-) (Hopefully this sneak peak will work.)

Magda, yes, it's scheduled for tomorrow, October 16. (At least in my area.) The episode is called "The Controversial Doctor Who Claims He Can Reverse Alzheimer's."

If you don't catch it tomorrow, it probably will be available on his site later. www.doctoroz.com Or, MPI Cognition may send it around. (That's where the notice and sneak peak came from.) Or, YouTube probably will have it.

Julie, if I can get it on a cassette, you'll have to give me your autograph! ;)

Julie,

Just watched. Simply outstanding! You inspire me, Julie :-). So well done. I know this will attract some and possibly even many critics, but it will also open up doors for people who really need help. I know this wasn't easy going so public, but you rocked it, Julie! Thank you so much for helping shine the light on Dr B's great work!

Props to you all for surviving the Dr. Oz gauntlet!

Your appearance, no matter how imperfect it feels to you after the fact, helps get the word out that there is hope. That's huge.

Thanks for all of your kind words. "Surviving" is the right term, Susan . There was lots of Jerry Springer drama that was thankfully cut out. It was a tough decision to go public. My goal was two-fold: first, to try to lessen the stigma and normalize cognitive improvement and second, to provide hope for those in the early stages. The highlight for me was meeting our colorful, who handled herself masterfully when Dr. Oz went off script. ApoE4.Info was well represented! Overall, while a bit sensational, the edited piece will hopefully bring Dr. Bredesen's approach to a broader audience. EDIT: Huge shout out to our GOLDTHREAD, who was also in the audience. Her lovely, supportive presence always brings me calm. Thanks for riding with me to LGA, my friend. Your support meant the world. -xo

Terrific job Julie (and Deborah too wherever you are!). You got me a little teary eyed! No question many people watching were thinking 'that's me'.
