Has anyone used the Dynamic Neural Retraining Program?

Post by slacker »

I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has gone through the DNRP program, which uses neuroplasticity to calm down the limbic system. It is recommended by several practitioners who treat those of us with mold or Lyme co-infection issues (Bredesen type 3).

I’m in the process of going through the DVDs (DNRS = Dynamic Neural Retraining System). My pace has been slow. I’m doing multiple things at once, so I can’t say for sure my improved sleep is from DNRS, but it might be. I’ll report back when I have more to say.

I have found some DNRS testimonials on YouTube for people with mold illness (along with other conditions). I don’t have links offhand, but you could try a search in YouTube for: DNRS mold
ApoE 4/4 - When I was in 7th grade, my fellow students in history class called me "The Brain" because I had such a memory for detail. I excelled at memorization and aced tests. This childhood memory helps me cope!

Hi slacker! I haven't but I'm a fan and think there's decent science to support her approach. I got to see Annie Hopper present at a conference in LA a while back and I describe her lecture in this thread. Gigi, another member, who's a trained psychotherapist has participated in several of her workshops and has very generously showed me some of the DNRS techniques via a Zoom meeting. It was really powerful. If you (or others) are interested, we could ask Gigi to do a demonstration for us. Reading about it is one thing, but seeing it in action really helped me to better understand. In Dr. Bredesen's upcoming book, we recommend DNRS as an adjunct therapy to address CIRS.

Thanks for the feedback! I am thinking about diving in, and was interested in some ApoE4 tribe input. (the time, money, effort continuum...)

I would recommend doing the in person DNRS course. It's hard to really get it from the DVD's alone and practicing it with others has many benefits. It works. An hour a day is alot for some people. Neil Nathan (mold and lyme expert) says even if you can just do 10 to 15 minutes a day its very helpful. I agree.

Gigi, after the in-person course, is it then recommended to continue with DVDs afterward? (Maybe for less time per day?)

Gundry interviewed"Lectin Free Mama," Autumn Boyle. She had all kinds of issues and my daughter, who follows Autumn, says the course mentioned in the interview is Annie Hopper's DNRS. She talks about it in the interview.

Very helpful transcription link, Tincup! Easy to search on "Hopper" and get right to the explanation.

I'm really dragging my feet on investing in another modality without having a basic overview of what I would be doing for one hour a day over 6 months. Probably part of my worsening procrastination and decision making in the face of so much uncertainty! Please ask Gigi if she would be willing to do a demo/MeetUp for us.

Request sent, my friend. I was happy to see Gigi join in this thread. She or I will share more soon. I think a demo would be very valuable for this group. It was really helpful for me to see this in action so that I could wrap my head around it as well. :D
