Re: Lead and Cadmium in Chocolate

Has anyone tried anything from eatingevolved brand keto nut butter chocolate bar or keto cups? I checked as you sow and i think my consumer lab membership expired... but i doubt it's on consumer lab (if it is, I'd love to know!).

Re: Test Results

Thanks for the advice circular! I think I'll go ahead and start the CLO. Definitely not a bad idea (then, like you said, dial back on my Vit D supplementation). Was thinking of getting the Green Pastures fermented CLO/butter oil blend - just wish it said how much vit D was in there so I didn't have ...

Re: Test Results

Thanks for the reply slacker! Your info is very helpful - definitely need to exercise more, but I already knew that :P And yes, I did see a functional medicine provider. I basically read off what labs I wanted and she made it happen haha. Upon looking at the B6 again, the units are different, so it ...

Test Results

Hi all, I just recently got my lab results back and would love your opinions on what I should be optimizing. I'm 26 years old, 3/4, don't have any of the MTHFR variants. I've been trying to optimize my diet recently (more fat, more vegetables). I eat a lot of pasture-raised eggs, seafood usually 3x/...

Re: Suggestions for 85-year-old 4/4

The lactase tablets do help with the milk digestion, but my mom sometimes forget to take and now prefers dark chocolate (too many carbs) almond milk. You might have her doctor consider cholestryramine to control the diarrhea, as it seems to help this aging bowel problem and Dr.Bredesen suggests for...

Re: Suggestions for 85-year-old 4/4

Thank you both for your suggestions. She also has a history of explosive diarrhea where she sometimes can't make it to the bathroom. That has been an issue for several years. I know I personally have had a lot of issues with diarrhea with doing a high fat diet, but maybe it will help. I know dairy &...

Suggestions for 85-year-old 4/4

I just got my grandmother's 23andme results back this morning. Like I suspected, she is homozygous 4/4. She is also homozygous for MTHFR C677T. She definitely has had some memory changes that have concerned my mom recently, but she is doing surprisingly well for her age. She can be quite stubborn ab...

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid vs Alpha Lipoic Acid

I just recently finished reading a book about fertility where they recommend R-Alpha Lipoic Acid over Alpha Lipoic Acid. I wanted to do a little survey of which people take. Also, if you take R-alpha lipoic acid, is a smaller dose equivalent to a larger dose of alpha lipoic acid? I'm used to taking ...

Re: Resources on how to Keto-Adapt

Thanks Stavia! I bought it and tried to find a specific section on it.... but didn't seem to find one. Seems like it's more mentioned throughout the book.
