Re: Gundry internet ads
Ugh, Gundry. I lost respect for him when I stumbled on his internet ad for a skin-care product. Yes, he has a line of skin care products: Gundry MD. So he's also a dermatologist? The ad was for his age-spot remover. I read the reviews on Amazon, which were terrible. I can't find it there now; maybe...

Peter Attia podcast - Advancing Alzheimers disease treatment
Interesting podcast with Professor of Neuroscience and Pharmacology & Toxicology. Methylene Blue coming up again as a treatment. A bold statement by him stating that "Amyloid Plaques are not causally related to late-onset Alzheimers at all" . https://peterattiamd.com/franciscogonzalezl...

Re: Anybody interested in a lipid chat with Dave Feldman?
What I find puzzling is the "need" for someone to be 100% right or the tone against certain strategies, especially a topic as complex as lipids. I can certainly see some frustration when one ultimately doesn't have any risk factors and is trying to choose the right path, but if you do have...

Re: Sterol Absorption and synthesis
Did you ever test your absorption of sterols? If sitosterol is an issue (as it is for many E4s) seems like ezetimibe alone might be enough. No I didnt as to me the end result was important, regardless of whether I was or was not. Having said that though I am going to test on statin therapy t...

Re: Sterol Absorption and synthesis
@JimBG No I did not test, but I have a very exaggerated response to diet in a short period of time, so presume I am. Regardless, from a brain health perspective, the Zetia allows me to use a lower dose statin to achieve a good lipid profile. I use 5mg Rosuvastatin every day with 10mg Zetia every oth...

Re: Sterol Absorption and synthesis
@Julie I think Dayspring makes the case that a) phytosterol supplementation is not good versus plant ingestion which is ok. b) only if you are a hyperabsorber, would potentially ingesting more plant sterols be a potential problem. I assume this to mean if you are NOT a hyperabsorber, your body would...

Re: Peter Attia Fast
Yes, that was what I referred to in my original post. Prior to that I’m not sure he’s ever mentioned he was on medication.

Re: Peter Attia Fast
In all his talks, articles, I’ve never once seen him mention that he takes anything. I would probably say he is one of the most objective physicians I’ve ever followed.
