Re: L-serine research

He reports that Okinawans have 3x more in their diets I think the secret weapon is various marine algaes . (See Table one.) The daily intake for Ogimi women exceeds 8g per day. The therapeutic amount to slow the decline of ALS is 15g (twice daily) in this paper. Traditional Food Items in Ogimi, Oki...

Thanks for posting, Tincup.

Cool, I already have dried egg white powder in my fridge.

TheresaB thank you! I purposely searched for the topic thinking it had to be here and found nothing. I must not have done it correctly. I’ll check it out!

L-Serine

No time to elaborate but really enjoyed the article from Forbes posted on FB by apoe.info on the ethnobotonist steering research on ALS and Alzheimer’s and L-Serine supplementation. Definitely worth a read!

Re: Not all Omega 3's are the same...?

I'm torn. Do I take fish oil or krill oil supplements? I've taken the fish oil for a long time but now I keep reading that I should be taking krill oil as Dr. Mercola says his supplements have the DHA phospholipid form which crosses the blood brain barrier much easier. When I compare the amounts in...

Re: Not all Omega 3's are the same...?

I take 1 or 2 pills of Nordic Naturals and I also eat fish. I am 4/4 and definitely think it is best to high dose. I have turned to a 70% fat diet and haven't gained any weight. Good fats and oils are working for me. Yes, I’m now taking 2 of the Nordic Naaturals Omega-3 Phospholipids per day. But, ...

Re: Not all Omega 3's are the same...?

It tends to work best in sushi. I agree it is very difficult to eat on it's own. I get some periodically from a local health store and I take it like medicine, a spoonful that I down as quickly as possible. I will try to make my way through some of it that way. But it isn’t realistic as a long term...

Re: Not all Omega 3's are the same...?

Fascinating topic. I immediately purchased salmon roe online. Very expensive. I’m embarrassed to say I can’t stomach it at all. It is revolting. It looks so pretty in the picture :). I’m not sure what to do with it! If anyone has any ideas on how to hide the taste let me know I’ve tried several thin...

Brian, exactly! I hope Dr. Huang is putting most of his energy into this lane as he has multiple projects going on at once.

Re: E4: why no urgent push for structure correctors, gene editting?

LG, I'm very very wary of unforseen, unexpected effects of new biological agents. I am watching this with moderate interest. I believe its premature to expect scalable, useable therapy before... maybe a decade? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Decades away :( CRSPR is both scary and potentially...
