Re: H63d and Apoe4/4
From what I’ve researched the Alzheimer’s link seems to be connected to the homozygous H63D and does not seem to affect those who are Heterozygous for the same gene mutation.

Re: New member any others iron disorders H63D and APOE3/4
Interesting to note in the UK. The NHS will not
Test for the APOE4 mutation. As they believe there is not enough evidence of a link between other mutations. Such as the Homozygous HFE H63D and the APOE4 causing memory problems and earlier onset Alzheimer’s.

Re: GH - Homozygous H63D gene mutation - memory problems
Homozygous H63D Haemochromatosis ~ It’s more than just iron overload! This is what I promote. Most if not all GH societies just focus on the the iron. The main one being my education. I left school with nothing and for the next forty years. I’ve struggled to hold...

I’m glad I found this forum by accident. I have Hereditary Haemochromatosis. Homozygous for the H63D gene mutation. Which has given me a terrible short term memory and low cholesterol. I have read this maybe due the the APOE e4? How to learn more about here.
