Re: 2016 Ancestral Health Meetup - Stavia's blog

Shelley's Voice of America piece that she shot of us at the Ancestral Health Symposium is now out. This is what Shelly wrote in her e-mail: Thanks to all of you for your help in making this story possible, and to the people in your groups. Here's the link to the TV piece that Voice of America has br...

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4

Juliegee, Not to mention that Dr Gundry's comments on wheat germ agglutinin are scary. I think what is he saying, is that it can block the insulin receptors in the brain regardless of whether a person is lectin sensitive or has a leaky gut.

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4

Regarding adiponectin, Nancy wrote Mine has been testing too low (higher is supposed to be better) so I've been trying to increase it,… Low is good! Sort of. It's not as simple as that. I am not an expert, but during Dr Gundry’s dinner Q&A session at the Ancestral Health Symposium, I did have an...

ApropoE4 wrote Aren't you concerned? Recommended by a fraud… No, I guess I should not have truncated Dr Gundry’s quote. This is the entirety of Dr Gundry’s quote on longevinex (bold face added): "I’ve been a huge fan of a supplement that you get out of Las Vegas called Longevinex and if you’re ...

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4

LucyS wrote, A minor question I have is what made you choose Longevinex as your resveratrol choice? During our consult with Dr Gundry in January of 2016, Dr Gundry recommended it saying (I added bold font): “…I’ve been a huge fan of a supplement that you get out of Las Vegas called Longevinex and if...

Re: new e3/e4

Mac, You wrote, You mention shellfish 1st priority intake and then white fish...can I consider all fish good to eat in the context of replacing meat? I mostly eat white fish or salmon? In our first consult with Dr Gundry, he went over his dietary “rules” for ApoE4s, which means we have to limit anim...

Re: new e3/e4

Mac, No cognitive baseline. We got into this after learning of our ApoE status, not because of any noticeable cognitive decline, so we haven't especially been motivated for that. Two absolute supplements - I guess I would say fish oil for 1000 mg of DHA and Niacinimide. But that's a TOUGH QUESTION! ...

Re: new e3/e4

Mac, You asked about the protocols those of us on this board are following and yesterday I posted a response to that with the regimen that my husband, GeorgeN, also a frequent poster to this board, and I follow. Today I feel compelled to add a postscript. What we do is considered extreme, (the fasti...

Re: new e3/e4

Mac, Take a deep breath, we’ve fire-hosed you with information. Sorry about that, but Alzheimer’s is complex therefore there are no easy answers. You said There are so many epigenetic answers out there, one could not possibly do them all. Maybe so, but prudence dictates adopting as many as you can. ...
