Re: GenePoole0304 Labs

Ah, as an extreme hype absorber of beta-sitosterol, it’s good to know it’s not carcinogenic . Phew. We’ve discussed the different interpretations of the (now) Labcorp NMR and Spectracell version. It’s good to know that they’re both nmol/L, but Spectracell determines the yellow (risky) zone t...

Re: Recent Research

Gene, I've used Google Alerts for years, and on many topics. Still hard to actually read all the research I see in my inbox everyday. That's why I appreciate being here, because there are so many of us reading and commenting on different items that I might not read on first pass. I have 2 items on ...

Re: Optimal levels of LDL for E4 carriers

I do not know what could be considered the optimum level of LDL but I would say it is not one factor to asses total risk. Re: CAD106 and CNP520

Re: GenePoole0304 Labs

Gene, congratulations on the progress you have made towards an improved lipid panel. Your lp(a) is just above normal, so not meeting a target of LDL-C under 60 would not need to be your goal. As someone with over double your lp(a), I'm curious why you stated: The Lp(a) was higher and I think the zi...
