Re: Ideal post-menopausal estrogen level?

S, I don't like the bigger "footprint" of the tegaderm over the patch. Yeah, the lint outline is a bummer; it took me a few days and a lot of dismay to realize it was lint and not "dirt" .

Re: Ideal post-menopausal estrogen level?

Thanks guys! Yes, I do feel much better. Re: George and Stavia posts, the Serum T went from 7 to 15 in these 6 weeks, but my Free T only went from .8 to .9. Also, I tested DHEA-S. Unfortunately, it's always been on the very low end and falling in recent years. I started supplementing with oral cryst...

Re: Ideal post-menopausal estrogen level?

Updating my lab results (see above post for history)....After approximately 6 weeks on .1mg estradiol patch (generic), my Estradiol level went from undetectable (after five months on Biest) to drumroll please.....36.2! Yay. But most importantly, I have ZERO hot flashes, thank goodness! They were so ...

Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women

Stavia, the progesterone, estrogen positive is good news, the herceptin negative not so much. Correct? Regarding your decision to lower your patch, I'm glad that you don't have to experience major hot flashes or any other overt menopause symptoms. From what I recall, your biggest symptom was sleep a...

Re: Diet Priorities

Hubbs, my numbers are very similar. I have 100 plus point swings in a two hour period. The only time I had a glucose tolerance test I started in low 90's, spiked around 230 at the 45 min mark, ended up at 60. That was about six years ago. I don't see those lows anymore. I've been tested for most kno...

Julie, I feel your pain re: Billy. I imagined you feel some helplessness, sadness and frustration. It's going on with my family too. My father's sister, 80 yrs who we factually know is a possible 4/4 and exhibiting noticeable cognitive impairment is in denial and not interested in delving into the s...

Re: Diet Priorities

Lilly, I can't strictly relate to full time caretaking, however I can relate to extreme family stress. My three adult children are in near constant crisis and then there's my mother. The angst I experience is ridiculous at times. I honestly keep thinking one day, surely things will "normalize &...

J11, my father is doing very well. He's traveled the world in recent years including Africa, India, Fiji; just returned from Puerto Rico last month and heading out to Honduras next month. He flies frequently and also drives a behemoth RV cross country. Although he might not agree with this next stat...

Re: General Anesthesia & ApoE4

Maureen, I'm reading "The Power of Now", right now, how coincidental! :D I'm enjoying it; I completely identify with his mention of "knowing" in the depths of your soul and "the watcher vs. the thinker". I'm only into the first 20 or so pages, but good stuff in my opini...
