Re: 23andMe

Well, I've pretty much determined that I'm good to go as far as early onset goes. Holy relief!!! I'm going to keep one eye on developments here though. As we know, research is always giving us new information. Some other interesting findings in my results though, some that certainly effect my 3/4 pr...

Re: 23andMe

Alright, I've now run the Promethease report. I'm attempting to see the early onset results, but I'm not sure I'm having much luck. Nothing showed up as a red flag in the report, but I'm thinking that it wouldn't anyway and that I need to look at specific SNPs. I know the chromosomes affected (14,1,...

Re: 23andMe

Got an email last night that my preliminary results are in at 23andme. So, I logged on, holding my breath… to find nothing. ha I found my maternal haplogroup and what % neanderthal I am, but apparently the rest of the results aren't finished yet. False alarm… ugh. So, my quick question to all of you...

Ahhhh, just look at those happy smiling faces and vibrant eyes! I'd say taking care of your health is serving both of you well. This picture is just what I needed to wake up to today! Very nice, ladies. So glad you had a fun visit.

Re: New here - feeling confused & overwhelmed

Gilgamesh, I just saw your response and really did laugh out loud. I know how you meant it and did not mean to sound like I took it personally. I was just getting onto myself! For the life of me I couldn't figure it out and never went back after coffee to try again. Next time... I've actually been r...

Re: Dr. William Walsh - Nutrients & Brain Health

Thanks for that link, Julie. I just realized that the Zinc I've been taking for years now has COPPER in it. How did I mess up something this basic? Oh my gosh… Changed my multivitamin to a B complex to get rid of copper, and here I am still getting it with my zinc. Geez. Thanks to everyone for this ...

Re: New here - feeling confused & overwhelmed

G - I just find editing the wiki pages to be intimidating, both from a substantive and practical/technical perspective. Point taken that I should suck it up and make myself try and get comfortable with the technical aspects, but it makes me so frustrated to be so lacking in these technical skills. F...

Re: New here - feeling confused & overwhelmed

Gilgamesh, I agree with Stavia's being a lovely summary! Love the Basic Steps. How can we get that onto the first Main Page of Wiki? Perhaps as part of the intro for new people, so they get this right away? Recurring issue for all of us new here to go "Whoa! What the heck have I gotten myself i...

Re: Homocysteine may be even MORE important...

Not sure if you guys have seen these here or not. I stumbled upon this researcher, Sigfrido Scarpa, during my PSEN1/2 research a couple of months ago. Because of these articles, I've been vary careful about upping my intake of B6,12 and 9 and also am taking SAM-E now. It's pretty impressive research...
