Re: New APOE4 homozygote
Nancy, thanks a lot for taking the time to find this book and for the summarizing Singleton’s argument about the need for multiple antibiotics. I’ll get a copy of the book. Can’t believe I’ve been as complacent as I have about the Lyme. I see my doctor next week and will discuss more aggressive trea...

Re: New APOE4 homozygote
Nancy, thanks again. Is the book you mentioned Why Don’ t I Get Better? A number of people have noted that it’s a good resource (I’ve been meaning to get it). The rationale for not hitting the Lyme harder with antibiotics is that I am so generally unwell. My body might not take it right now (?). But...

Re: New APOE4 homozygote
Nancy, thanks for the information. I’ve heard that Cipro can have some nasty side effects, but is generally effective. I’ve done only doxy and Flagyl so far. Interesting to know that your infection was chronic and you were able to treat effectively. How were you initially diagnosed? I am not positiv...

Re: New APOE4 homozygote
Nancy, regarding the CD57 count, do you know if there’s anything else (other than HIV) that can result in low values on this test? My number just won’t come up, even after antibiotic treatment for chronic Lyme. I’ve had different doctors say different things – low CD57 is specific for Lyme, or that ...

Re: Zinc. Is it necessary to supplement with?
P5P works well for me, but I can’t tolerate regular B6 (agitation). How much p5p do you take? I’ve settled on 80-90 mg per day, which seems to be work, but I haven’t had my levels checked for a long time. Another test to add to the list that I haven’t done for cost issues as well. I assess based on ...

Re: Zinc. Is it necessary to supplement with?
Stavia, do you have low B6 as well? I have a high level of kryptopyrroles in my urine (pyroluria). I’m not sure of the significance of this condition but, as is typical of this population, without adequate supplementation I do have very low levels of both Zinc and B6.

Re: Inhalational Alzheimer's?
Julie, yes, yet another similarity! When I saw the beginning of your post, “Well crap,” I thought, oh no…. My TGF-beta is elevated, but it’s not as high as yours (it’s 8,220), and, interestingly, my c4a is in the normal range. I’ve seen TGF-beta values like yours posted online by a number of people ...

Re: Inhalational Alzheimer's?
Julie, I was recently evaluated for CIRS and also got some unpleasant news. Dr. Bredesen is looking over my results, as well as my other MEND tests (I am so grateful for this). Did you test positive for MARCoNs? I did (via nasal swab) and started the BEG nasal spray about 10 days ago. I’m so sorry y...

Re: Best Source for Precision Xtra Ketone Test Strips
Did you order from Amazon? The best price I've found there is $33 for a package of 10, which is comparable to what I've seen elsewhere (sigh). I usually get them within two to three days.
