Wiki on Coconut oil, MCT oil, Exogenous ketones

Post by TheresaB »

We had a very old, sparse write-up in the wiki, “Coconut and Coconut products.” I’ve replaced it with an article on the broader subject of exogenous ketones: Coconut Oil, MCT oil, and other Ketone/Cognition Boosters (salts, esters). I tried to address the health nuances of these products for ApoE4s. There are no easy answers, but certain considerations and trade-offs to be evaluated.

Theresa, thanks for this. Are there any plans to expand the section on Exogenous Ketones - both salt and ester?

That's a hard question to answer as any member is free to edit the wiki. If you have information to add, I would encourage you to do so - just click an edit link near the section of interest.

I once tried a mock edit to the main wiki (corrected a typo), just to see if it was really open. I had asked a question about editing, and did not get an answer. It sounded like edits were moderated (hopefully...).

Just the first edit is moderated typically. After that you'll likely be preapproved.
