I love slow cooker recipes! I'm going to try that pumpkin custard one, it looks delicious.

Here is a favorite recipe for an amazing Cranberry Salsa from my pre-Bredesen holidays that I think could be good this year if I substitute Stevia for sugar (adjusting according to conversion chart):

Here’s the conversion chart:

Thank you for posting the Stevia conversion chart. I've seen it before, lost it, and now have printed it out so I don't lose it again. :-)

FYI you can also get Stevia in the raw bakers, which is 1:1 for sugar (I use this when cooking more often than not):

That looks handy, too, and I’ve seen it on the shelf. I rarely add any sweetener of any kind to tea or other drinks, but with Thanksgiving favorites on the horizon, that could save a lot of insulin spikes. :-)

I like since it's a 1:1 conversion, so I don't have to think about it when I use it for cooking. Generally if I do sweeten drinks, I use the organic Trader Joe stevia drops which are 4:1 drops to tsp of sugar.

Slowly, over time, I’ve liked “sweet” things less and less. Sometimes I think that’s sad, sometimes I think it must be a lucky SNP. :-)

Yeah I've never really had a sweet tooth, even less so now with lchf and keto, but some things need it to taste correct. My mothers spaghetti sauce requires some sugar or it's too tart, so about a 1/2 cup of sugar gets it where it need to be (not to sweet, not to tart). I don't make it as often as I used to (kids demanded it for their birthdays!), but when I do I use the Stevia in the Raw and it is spot on, no one can tell the difference. I still get a craving for something sweet every once in a while... but not nearly as much as before. The first 6 or so months on the LCHF, I would have to eat a square of chocolate each evening, and looking back I think it was more psychological as I was thinking "this is the only sweet I can have, so I am going to eat it!". This passed rather quickly without me even realizing... and I don't even think about it anymore :)

Good example of “crowding out” bad behaviors. Kudos!
