Sleep apnea hastens AD onset

Initial results from the NYU study (http://www.neurology.org/content/early/ ... 0000001566) related to sleep apnea and AD, seem to point towards the sleep apnea preceding AD. Although the study, so far does not address whether sleep apnea is caused by early AD brain changes or if sleep apnea precipitates AD, but it appears that it's the latter. Those of us with sleep apnea, but using CPAP, had the same onset of AD as controls.
