Emotional Freedom Techniques

Post by Welcomeaboard »

This was posted on Dr. Mercola's site. It is supposed to relieve stress.

The key to relieving stress is to think about things that bothered you in the past that are no longer issues in your life and put whatever is currently bothering you in that same place of it ain't a problem. Basically go to your happy place, and that can be laughter, music, a movie, the good in your life overwhelms and conquers all things believe in those people and things. Find the emotions that are calming and loving and they will replace the stress if you will just go there in your mind, think of events that brought you the most joy in your life and live there and add to them.

Hi WA,
I've been using and studying EFT for 10 years. It's a fabulous technique - also called Energy Psychology. It's finally been accepted by the APA. Gary Craig and David Feinstein PhD as well as Dawson Church PhD are at the forefront of the fight to have more proper studies on how it works. (You just have to use it, or see it used, to know it works...)

You tap on meridian points - while triggering an uncomfortable memory. It seems to rewrite the neural networks to the amygdala on specific aspects of a memory. So you can then bring up the memory but the charge has been taken off it.

Great little tool.
Best,
